Kenneth was last seen on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at around 11-11:30pm near the laundromat on E 2nd Street in of Oil City. He had been to the laundromat and then gone to see the mother of his children, also on E 2nd Street. He reportedly told her that he was meeting his boss at midnight to drive to Maryland for work. He left his laundry bags at his ex's house, saying that he would return later to pick them up. He neither showed up to meet his boss or returned for his laundry.
Kenneth's final route would have taken him across the Wye Bridge, an old railroad bridge that spans the Allegheny River connecting north and south Oil City. He was walking and the weather that night was cold and wintery, with several inches of snow falling overnight. It is feared that Kenneth may have slipped and fallen from the bridge into the Allegheny.
On Wednesday, February 13, 2008, local and state police, along with the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission, searched the bridge and the river banks. A search helicopter was brought in to assist but no trace of Kenneth was found.
