Medical: was on anti-psychotic medication and mood stabilizers.
Richard Redzich was last seen at around 8:00 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, July 26, 2005 as he drove away from his home in Honesdale. He had an appointment scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at Tri County Human Services. He never showed up for that appointment. He was reported missing at around 6:00 that evening.
A family friend reported seeing Mr Redzich the following day, walking on Route 247 in Lake Como close to where his parents owned property. The family conducted several searches of the area but no sign of Mr Redzich was found.
His vehicle, a 1989 Burgundy Buick Regal, was found on November 12, 2005, stuck in a wooded area near the Lake Como property. Despite several intensive searches, by ground and air, utilizing search dogs and the Northeast Search and Rescue Team, Pike County Sheriff's Department K9 Unit, Wayne County Sheriff's Department and the Honesdale Police Department, Richard Redzich remains missing.
