Case Details
June 8, 2010 was the last time Amy's sister spoke with her.  They were speaking by phone and Amy told her sister that she was painting her apartment in Washington City.  Originally from Latrobe, Amy had only recently moved to Washington, a move that seemed to indicate that she was getting her life together, leaving her demons behind and heading in the right direction.
Exactly when Amy was last seen is unclear, but her family became alarmed when, a day or two after that last phone call, a man using Amy's cell phone, made several threatening phone calls to her family, demanding money from them or "she's dead".  The day after receiving the calls, her sister and father drove to Washington to file a missing persons report.
Amy had been known to disappear in the past but only for short periods of time and she would still keep in contact by phone.  She also missed her son's graduation party, something her family says she would never do.
