Unidentified Female Newborn
Found May 12, 1968 near Emporium, Cameron County
newborn, 1-3 days
On Sunday, May 12, 1968, the body of this newborn girl was found near a clump of trees on the south side of PA Route 120 near Emporium.
She had been wrapped in copies of the two local newspapers and a plastic bag then stuffed into a paper sack. Cause of death was asphyxiation.
It is believed that the baby had been thrown from a passing car.
