Unidentified White Male
Found November 27, 2006 in North Towanda Twp, Bradford County


Vital Statistics
State of Remains: skeletal, only the top portion of the skull was recovered
Estimated Age: 25 to 40
Hair Color: unknown, no hair was present on the skull
Dentals: Available.  Only six rear top molars were in the skull. Four had fillings.
DNA: Available in the FBI Missing Persons database

Case Details
The skull was found by a hunter on an island in the Susquehanna River in North Towanda Twp.  It was found about 400 yards east of the Conrail railroad bridge and about 100 feet north of Sugar Creek.  The area had recently been flooded and the skull was found among flood remnants that had been deposited on the island.
No time of death was definitively established, however, according to investigators, the skull may have been in the river for "some time".
